Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the maiden direct flight service between Bhubaneswar and Dubai at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) today.
The flight will be operated by IndiGo airline and, as an introductory offer, the price of a ticket for the round trip has been fixed at 20,000. A one-way flight ticket will cost Rs 10,000.
The direct flight service between Bhubaneswar and Dubai will be available thrice a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched ticket sales for the flight on April 1, On the occasion of Utkal Dibasa (statehood day). The first eight tickets were distributed by the CM to Mission Shakti women, athletes, tribal leaders, and artists.
