Ruling BJD In Odisha Has Tacit Alliance With BJP : Congress

Bhubaneswar, Feb 4: The ruling BJD in Odisha has a tacit alliance with the BJP and there is a secret understanding between the two parties, Odisha Pradesh Congress spokesman Manoj Mohapatra alleged.
Releasing a series of allegations against the BJD on various important issues at a function here on Thursday just before the three tier panchayat election, Mohapatra said only for public consumption the BJD and BJP are accusing each other on various issues. The Congress Spokesperson cited the inexorable delay in CBI inquiry into the chit fund scam and the capsize of Black Rose ship near Paradip as examples in support of his allegations.
Mohapatra said the Congress will go to the people with 22 allegations of misdeeds of the BJD government during its 22 years of rule and create public awareness in the state against the government in the coming days. Senior Congress leader and party MLA Suresh Kumar Routray said as many as 27 MLAs and four Ministers of the BJD were involved in the chit fund scam. But no action is being taken against them.
The Congress will go to the people with such sensitive issues and sensitise the people about it, he said. Among other things the illegal acquisitions of the land of Lord Lingaraj , allotment of Indira Awas houses, toilets, old age pensions and selection of beneficiaries of KALIA scheme on partisan basis , unemployment, migration , mismanagement in paddy procurement and privatisation of Nilachal Ispat Nigam Limited(NINL) figured in the list of a series of allegations against the BJD government by the Congress.
