Puri, Nov 22 : An actor was seriously injured on Wednesday after a miscreant hurled a country- made bomb at the Ramaleela stage here.
The actor playing the role of Laxman sustained serious injuries and was admitted to district headquarter hospital.
He was later shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after his condition deteriorated.
According to reports, while Ramaleela play was being staged by Ma Bindheswari Ramanatya Samsad of Sahanikera village in the Baliapanda slum area, someone threw a bomb from the crowd targeting Rama on the stage but it hit Lakshman instead.
Baliapanda Ramaleela committee filed a complaint with the Baliapanda police station.
Police registered a criminal case and investigating into the incident.
