In a tragic incident, A youth allegedly slit the throat of a Plus II girl student when she was emerging out of a college after appearing for the board examination in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Thursday.
As per reports, the incident occurred when the victim was leaving her college after appearing for the annual exam.
The condition of the victims is said to have deteriorated and she has been shifted to the MKCG medical college and hospital in Berhampur. The youth has been detained by the police.
On being informed, police personnel rushed to the site and detained the youth, whose identity is yet to be disclosed.
Investigation into the incident is underway and further details are awaited.
