VSSUT girl student death Case Updates: Two Accused Including Male Friend To Undergo Lie detection test

In Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (CSSUT) student Chinmayee Priyadarshini Sahu the mystery  death case, is deepening day by day. police will conduct polygraph test on two accused persons including the deceased’s male friend Pritiman Dey.

At least three teams are investigating the case. A scientific team is collecting evidence from the PC bridge.

Along with Pritiman, accused Manas Tudu will undergo the lie detector test today at State Forensic Science Laboratory in Bhubaneswar.

Meanwhile, the Burla police has returned from Bhubaneswar after conducting further investigate the VSSUT girl student death case on Friday. The Burla police has recovered the bag, laptop and other documents of Chinmayee Sahoo from her rented house at BJB Nagar area in Bhubaneswar.

A case under Sections 302, 201 and 34 of the IPC has been registered against Pritiman of BJB Nagar in Bhubaneswar and Manas Tudu, a final year student of VSSUT.

It is worth mentioning in the postmortem report, it is found that there is a mark similar to strangulation on her neck said reliable reports.

The mother and family members of the girl have all edged that the girl has been murdered and that she can never commit suicide. So, the police detained the boyfriend of the girl along with two other friends of hers. Police is questioning them to get further evidence in this matter.

Reportedly, Chinmayee had visited the power channel bridge in Burla with her friend after receiving her educational certificate during the convocation ceremony at VSSUT on February 28.

According to reports, the student went missing after falling into the power channel off the bridge. Next morning, police recovered her body near the power channel.

Her family lodge a complaint with police suspecting foul play by Chinmayee’s friends.

“The body bore marks on neck. My daughter was strangled to death. There was involvement of a youth and others in the murder of my daughter,” said the deceased’s mother who lodged the police complaint.
