In a shocking incident, two people were killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Bautia Nala on Janghira-Tentelapasi road under Pandapada police station in Harichandanpur block here on late Sunday night.
The deceased persons have been identified as Lal Mohan Rout of Khudapasi village under Harichandanpur block and Bidyadhar Barik of Patamunda village under Koida police station limits.
According to the information, the two persons were returning home from Janghira village when they were run over by an unknown vehicle. Locals rushed them to the nearby Harichandanpur hospital where doctors declared them dead.
The police have started an investigation. Further reports awaited.
