Section 144 has been implemented in Jaipur city of Koraput district of Odisha on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on 14 April 2023.
According to reports, in view of the violence on Hanuman Jayanti in Odisha’s Sambalpur district, prohibitory orders have been imposed in Jaipur.
In view of Hanuman Jayanti, prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been imposed in Jaipur. Significantly, the prohibition will remain in force till April 20, 2023 from 3 pm to 9 pm.
The source said the district administration has decided to impose prohibitory orders as a precautionary measure.
Also, internet services have been suspended in Odisha’s Sambalpur district to prevent the spread of religious fanaticism due to violence during Hanuman Jayanti. Internet has been suspended in Sambalpur for 48 hours from 10 am today by the district administration. At least 10 people, including on-duty policemen, were injured in violence that broke out during a bike rally for Hanuman Jayanti in Sambalpur on Wednesday evening.
