Murder mystery! Odisha Village Head Injected Poison In Angul, Dies

In a shocking incident,  a new method of murder has come to the fore in Angul district of Odisha.a man at Ambapal village in Odisha’s Angul district died after allegedly being administered poisonous injection by some unidentified miscreants while he was asleep.

Allegedly, this gruesome murder took place in Ambal village under Sadar police station of Angul district. The accused killed the village headman identified as Balakrishna Nayak by injecting him with poison while he is sleeping in the poultry farm. He immediately woke up and ran into the house.

Like any other day, Balakrishna had his dinner on Saturday night and went to sleep at his chicken farm located a few yards from his house. Late that night, some miscreants arrived at the farm and called Balakrishna’s name. When Balakrishna came out of his bed, they pushed an injection into his arm and fled the scene.

The injection caused a burning sensation in Balakrishna’s body and he started vomiting profusely. Soon, he dropped to the ground unconscious.

Later, groaning in pain, he rushed out of his farm to his house. He told his family members about the incident. He fell unconscious and was rushed to the district headquarters hospital in Angul. As his condition worsened, he was shifted to a hospital in Cuttack, but he succumbed on the way.

After the murder, the accused left a note near the dead body. The note read,  ‘Become a martyr for the village, because I had asked you not to meddle with me.’  The note further read that, the target date to kill the headman was 25 January, 2023. Two syringes were also seized from the spot.

So the questions that arise are as to who killed Balkhkrishna in such an innovative way and why. After the complaint from the family of Balakrishna, the police have launched a search. The murder is suspected to be due to previous enmity.
