Rs 11 Lakh Cash Seized From Rayagada Asst. Soil Conservation Officer

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance department seized a total of Rs 11,34,560 in cash from Kishor Chandra Nayak, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer in Rayagada, on Sunday.

Nayak was intercepted by the team while carrying Rs 5,04,560 in a bag pack near Aravinda School in Rayagada, and when he was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the money, it was seized.

During a search of Nayak’s rented home near Mangala Mandir in Rayagada, an additional Rs 6,30,000 was found, bringing the total amount of seized cash to Rs 11,34,560.

The Odisha Vigilance department is currently conducting simultaneous searches at three locations associated with Nayak: his rented home, his wife’s residence at Patrapada Kishor Vihar in Bhubaneswar, and his parental home in Mantriguda, Nabarangpur.
