As many as three persons were injured during a stampede like situation during Malyabanta Mahotsav of the district.
The incident took place as a large number of people congregated at the folk festival of Malkangiri district being held at DNK ground here.
According to the reports, Tuesday was the concluding day of the event, and about 40 thousand had gather at the DNK ground to enjoy the last night of the festival.
A huge rush during the festival led to the situation leaving at least three injured. The injured persons were immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital (DHH).
The Malyavant festival began on January 15 and will continue till January 20.
Malkangiri Malyabanta Mahotsav was organized in the district after two years of covid gap.
It should be noted here that this incident comes on the heels of the stamped on the Gopinathpur- Badamba T Bridge in Athagarh, Cuttack on Saturday. Where one person had died as many as 20 suffered critical injuries.
