Engineer Arrested for Possession of Disproportionate Assets Worth Over Rs 3 Crores

Bhubaneswar: Bijayananda Sahoo, the Superintending Engineer of the RWSS Division in Bhubaneswar, has been arrested by the Odisha Vigilance for possession of disproportionate assets worth over Rs 3 crores that he could not satisfactorily explain.

Sahoo was forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance in Dhenkanal after a case was registered against him and his spouse at the Cuttack Vigilance Police Station on Sunday. An investigation revealed that Sahoo’s assets, valued at INR 3,13,76,599, were 221% higher than his known sources of income.
