Odisha Records Over 10 k Cases For The Second Consecutive Day Alongwith 4 Casualties

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday reported a huge spike in Covid cases with 10,273 positive cases including 3496 from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours.

The total cases include 1065 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

Among the 10,273 positives, 5962 are quarantine cases and 4311 are local contacts. There are a total of 53,171 active cases. The new recoveries stand at 1447. The positivity rate stands at 13.56%.

Meanwhile, Odisha reports four deaths in the last 24 hours.

1. A 87 years old male of Bhadrak District.

2. A 36 years old female of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Rheumatic heart disease & Multiple sclerosis.

3. A 25 years old female of Jagatsinghpur district who was also suffering from Systemic lupus erythematosus, Discoid lupus erythematosus, neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus, Bronchial Asthma & Lymphopenia.

4. A 72 years old male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
