Bhubaneswar, Apr 8 : The birth anniversary of Late Sudarsan Sahu, who first prepared the sweet delicacy Chhena Poda, will be celebrated in all government offices of Odisha’s Nayagarh district on April 11 as “World Chhena Poda Dibas”

“Chhena Poda” is a sweet delicacy prepared with paneer and sugar as the main ingredients and is available across the state.

The Nayagarh district administration has already applied for a GI tag for the Chhena Poda.

All government offices in the district will celebrate the day on the birth anniversary of Sudarshan Sahu by cutting Chhena Poda at 11 AM in the presence of the officials and public, a letter issued by Nayagarh district collector R N Sahu said.

The photograph of the celebration would be sent to the WhatsApp group ‘’Team Nayagarh’’, Sahu directed.
