Reacting to the allegation against his party of using government machinery to intimidate opposition parties, he said, “The accusation is false. Many BJP leaders too are getting notices.”
Later, speaking to reporters while campaigning for party candidate Dayanand Sopte in Mandrem constituency, he said people knew work done by the BJP and hence they would vote for it.
”Today, we have 52 Public Health Centres (PHCs) in the state compared to just one earlier. People know what we have done during the last 10 years. We have completed 70-80 per cent of work promised in the manifesto. Today 86 lakh tourists were coming to Goa while earlier just 24 lakh tourists used to visit the state,” he said and claimed that opposition parties did not have any other work except criticising the BJP.
On former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, he said talks are being held with Parsekar and efforts are being made to change his decision. Parsekar quit the BJP recently. Election will be held on all 40 seats on February 14.
