Cash Worth Rs.20 Crore Unearthed From Jharkhand IAS Pooja Singhal’s CA’s House, ED Continues Raids in 20 Places

 

A huge corruption racket has been busted in Jharkhand state where, the close colleague of the chief minister Hemant Soren, Pooja Singhal, an IAS was found caught in the mess.

Pooja Singhal who is believed to be close to the chief minister, Soren, is on the dock as her chattered accountant (CA) is mired in a multi-crore cash racket,

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an early morning raid in the house of the CA has stumbled upon a humongous cash of about Rs.20 crores and all in currency notes.  Allegedly, Pooja Singhal has played a crucial role in the illegal mining leasing and conversion of mining areas for other purposes.

In view of the huge cash the ED had to get a counting machine and till last evening the counting was on.

The ED came into the action after a complaint by Rajiv Kumar and on Friday there were simultaneous raids in 20 places including the premises of the IAS officer’s husband Abhishek Singhal.

In his reaction to the unearthing of such big amount the chief minister Hemant Soren was reported to have stated that, law is taking its own course.
