Bhubaneswar, Aug 6: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday morning, has reportedly arrested industrialist Mahima Mishra’s son Charchit Mishra. A day after interrogation by the Central Investigatin Agency, the former was arrested in connection with a bribery case registered in Delhi.
The CBI arrested him under Section 120b of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 7,8,9,10 and 12 of PC Act.
Earlier in wee hours today, Charchit, the Director of Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL), had appeared at CBI office here in connection with the case.
On Friday, the Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Chief Mechanical Engineer, Paradip Port Trust, Odisha and three private persons including conduit, middleman in a bribery case and recovered Rs 84.5 lakh. A case was registered against Chief Mechanical Engineer, Paradip Port Trust (Odisha), and others including private persons, a private company & unknown others. Mahima Mishra’s elder son Chandan Mishra was also picked up by the CBI on Thursday and taken to the CBI office for interrogation and later arrested in connection with this case.
