Breaking This Hour: Ex-Japan PM Abe shot at, man in custody

Tokyo, July 8 : Former Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo was rushed to a hospital reportedly showing no vital signs after apparently being shot in the city of Nara in western Japan on Friday, according to a local fire department.
Police said a man was taken into custody near the Yamatosaidaiji Station.
Abe collapsed around 11.30 a.m. local time while making a speech on the street for a Liberal Democratic Party candidate’s election campaign, nhkworld reported.
The NHK report said Abe was bleeding there were sound of gunshots heard.
The report quoted a fire department official saying “Abe is showing no vital signs”
