Kolar (Karnataka) : The Kolar police said about 16 monkeys, including four baby monkeys, were poisoned and their bodies were thrown off the national highway near here.
The bodies of the monkeys were packed into a gunny bag and thrown
on Tamaka-Nadupalli road. A passerby informed the police, Gulpet Sub-Inspector Vedvathy said.
The bodies have been shifted to Maderahalli forest area. The vet doctors are conducting a postmortem to know the reason for their death, she said.
The police are examining the CCTV footage from the area, Vedvathy said.
