Patna, September 28 : RJD Chief Lalu Prasad on Wednesday demanded an immediate ban on RSS saying both the RSS and Popular Front of India (PFI) were indulged in spreading communal hatred in society and they deserve same treatment.
Prasad in his tweet said that after ban on PFI, the same action should also be taken against RSS. Both RSS and PFI were responsible for creating troubles in society by spreading hatred on communal lines, he added.
” Any organisation responsible for spreading hatred in the society should be banned without discrimination and reluctance of any nature”, RJD leader noted. RSS had also been banned on two occasions earlier, he pointed out. It was Iron man of the country Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel who had imposed ban on RSS for the first time after assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in 1948, he recalled.
As it is, the Central government has imposed a ban on PFI with immediate effect after clinching evidence was found against it during a series of raids conducted nationwide at its locations days back. PFI was found to be indulged in disruptive activities, posing a threat to national integrity.
Action against PFI has been taken under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act
