Balasore : In an unfortunate incident, a youth reportedly attempted to commits suicide after failing in love; however, he narrowly escaped death near Soro railway station in Odisha’s Balasore district.
The youth identified as Manoj Patnaik of Laxmidaspur area of Bhadrak district attempted to kill himself as he failed in his love life.
In his bid to end life, Manoj laid down himself on the railway track near Soro railway station last night so that a train would run over him and he would die. However, as a train came towards him Manoj got scared and tried to move from the track but he was hit by the speedy train.
Manoj sustained grievous injuries following the incident. He was rushed to a hospital in Soro for treatment and later he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.
