IPL: Titans Faces CSK, Eyes Top- 2 Finish
Mumbai, May 14: New entrant Gujarat Titans (GT), who have already sealed their playoffs berth, will be locking horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday here at the Wankhede Stadium, aiming to finish among top-2 in the IPL 2022 league stage.
While, Titans have already been qualified for the playoffs, CSK will play for pride in their remaining games.
GT are currently at the top of the table with 18 points from 12 games while CSK are on the second-last place, having won 4 out of 12 games this season.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is the highest run-scorer for the Super Kings and has scored 313 runs while Devon Conway has been impressive in the top order and the duo will look to give a fiery start. Skipper MS Dhoni must be looking to give another finishing touch. Dwayne Bravo leads the charts with the ball for the team, with 16 scalps to his name. Mukesh Choudhary and Simarjeet Singh have been in red-hot form and will be backed to dismantle GT batting line-up along with Maheesh Theekshana. Shubman Gill, skipper Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Wriddhiman Saha and Rahul Tewatia form a lethal batting order for Titans. The likes of Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson and Rashid Khan have been terrific and could wreak havoc on CSK’s batters.
