Art Of Giving, When It Becomes A Way Of Life It Becomes A Hidden Triumph

By D N Singh

Giving is as old as time. We all know and remain ingrained in this philosophy but turning the ideal into an art is something different.

Living may not require any crutch of art to go on but, giving does. Like do good and forget… the footprints left behind do remind the receiver and inspire for repeats. That is a personal choice.

‘It’s better to give than to receive’ is true,” says Avery, an author. Especially during a trying time – such as the year 2020 – we need connection with each other and doing a simple act of kindness goes a long way, both for our own mental health and for the happiness of others.”

That was pandemic, of course. Which took away many things from us and we lost many who would never comeback. Which left huge voids, un-replenishable.

It is not about morals but even science admits that, there are plentiful health and mental benefits in giving.

Who did start it, can be a poser for many but, searches reveal that the coinage took off from the thought regime of a man called, Achyut Samanta, who hardly requires any introduction.

Who down the years of his journey has made to the root of giving and it all started in 2013. It is not about getting the day blinking in a calendar but, taking it way forward, making the concept a commodious canvass.

It is not about giving an account of what he did through the Art of Giving but the long trail of giving, in those nine years of founding the concept, remains crystalized with giving down the memory lanes.

There is no dispute in an argument that, the very root of the joy of giving springs from the word called mother. Who is an extraordinary promontory of giving always,  But contained in ordinariness. They never flaunt nor want anything in return. An indescribable epitome of selflessness, that is mother.

On coming 17th of this month the concept completes nine years and it goes without saying that, the mission still has miles to go.
