May 12: The lalbag Police of Cuttack Commissionerate of Police have arrested a mobile phone snatcher and seized as many as 20 Android mobile phones from his possession.
Police on Thursday said the accused Muna alias Saroj Behera (25) was arrested on Wednesday and he had confessed to have committed snatching and theft of mobile phones during interrogation. Police arrested Muna while investigating a complaint lodged by one Manas Pradhan of Shaikh Bazar under Lalbagh Police station of Cuttack .
Pradhan in his complaint alleged that on May 11 while he was talking over his mobile phone near Sishubhawan casualty ward the accused snatched his mobile phone and fled from the spot.
The Commissionerate of Police sources said during tracking of missing mobile phones, the IIC Lalbag and his team had also recovered seven while IIC Bidanasi and his team had recovered 22 Android mobile phones. All the mobile phones would be returned to their owners very soon, police said.
