A Big Leap Forwards Beating Big States, Odisha Stars In Skoch Report Ratings
By D N Singh
People’s unflinching faith and enjoying a strong incumbency factor, state of Odisha, under Naveen Patnaik, once again has made it to the high in rankings, beating many big states in the country.
Under Patnaik, Odisha has today made a big leap to become the 3rd in India in Skoch Governance Report Card. Which is apparently preceded by a litany of records not only Naveen Patnaik as the chief minister but, under him the state government’s performance at various front leaves an enviable track record.
Even, at the national level also Patnaik has remained a stand apart as the best performing chief minister carving his place up on the graph each successive year.
This time, making it to the 3rd in the Skoch Governance Report is something that is unique. Unique in the sense that, Odisha being a state which is perennially blighted by climatic disorders and battling with a snare of spiraling economic blizzards, it is no mere task to cut through the maze of competition among the big states in India.
Besides that, the past 24 years of rule under Naveen Patnaik, has another redeeming feature before the people, that is his individual persona as a man who speaks little and does more.
The SGRC says it as another mile stone achievement and a “ significant stride in the latest Good Governance Report card “ .
Odisha has hit the third ranking in the country in SGRC card 2021, it is a massive jump from the eighth position of the previous year.
SGRC report card 2021 mirrors Patnaik’s 24 years of governance with a special focus on transformation of the state.
The above report underscores that, Patnaik, after 24 years even, enjoys the incumbency sentiment of people which manifest unwavering faith.
Else, it would not have been easy to beat the high profile states like Maharastra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and place itself among the ‘Star States’ category.
