Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: The State Election Commission (SEC) on Tuesday convened an all-party meeting on January 10 ahead of panchayat elections in Odisha.
In a letter to all presidents/secretaries of the political parties, Rabindra Nath Sahu, Secretary to the Commission, said that the all-party meeting ahead of panchayat polls the state is going to take place on 10th January at Geetagovinda Sadan at 11:30 AM.
“The representatives from political parties are requested to join the meeting adhering Covid19 protocols. As the tenure of the Zilla Parishad is going to end in the second week of March 2022, it is pertinent to hold general elections before it. Everyone is requested to bring authorisation letter of the party along with them,” the letter read.
