Odisha Government Increases Monthly Remuneration for Junior Teachers
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced a significant increase in the monthly remuneration for junior teachers appointed in primary and upper primary schools across the state. In a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), it was revealed that junior teachers who have completed three years in their positions will now receive Rs 20,000 per month, up from the previous Rs 13,800.
Responding to the various demands put forth by junior teachers, the government took the decision to raise their monthly remuneration, acknowledging their contributions to the education sector in the state. This hike will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2023, benefiting a total of 12,784 junior teachers currently working in Odisha.
