Malkangiri: In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through Odisha’s Malkangiri district, a girl student of Class VI was discovered hanging in a private hostel under perplexing circumstances. The 11-year-old girl, hailing from MPV-130 village under Kalimela police limits, was studying at a private school in MV-7 village under Malkangiri Sadar block and resided in the Shri Ganesh hostel on the premises.
According to reports, hostel officials made the distressing discovery early in the morning when they found the girl hanging in a toilet. Rushing her to the district headquarters hospital (DHH), their efforts were in vain as doctors pronounced her brought dead, suspecting that her demise had occurred several hours prior.
Upon notification, local authorities swiftly responded, initiating investigations into the unsettling incident. The police, upon arriving at the hospital, facilitated the transfer of the body for post-mortem examination. However, amidst the grief and disbelief surrounding the girl’s sudden demise, her family voiced suspicions of foul play, refuting the notion of suicide and alleging murder.
