Bhubaneswar: The BJD government again came into the sphere of questions raised by the ruling government. Minister of Panchayati Raj Rabi Naik raised his dissatisfaction towards the previous government.Â
Departmental Minister Ravi Naik has informed that 6 lakh 56 thousand 945 houses have returned to the center due to the careless work of the previous leaders. Responding to BJP MLA Manas Dutt’s question in the Assembly, Minister Naik said that between 2016 and 2024, the then government did not provide the list of eligible beneficiaries. As a result, 6 lakh 56 thousand 945 concrete houses have been returned. Since 2014, 36 lakh 57 thousand 847 concrete houses have been completed and 5 lakh 27 thousand 604 houses are under construction. Apart from this, the approved 32 thousand 913 pukka houses could not be started. Till now, the central government has provided 42 lakh 18 thousand 364 concrete houses to Odisha. Still 1 lakh 26 thousand 719 families have applied for houses.
