Sambalpur: Three people were injured in a clash between two groups of medical students in Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla of Sambalpur district. The injured were admitted to the hospital. They were reportedly released after primary treatment.
It has been reported that there was a disturbance during the annual celebration of the UG Students’ Union. There was a fight between the house surgeon and the PG student.
A written complaint has been lodged at Burla police station on behalf of the house surgeon. On the other hand, in protest, the house surgeon has decided to strike.
According to information, late yesterday night when the annual celebration of UG Students Union was going on in Bhimsar premises, a situation like confusion and fight broke out between the PG students and the house surgeon.
However, it has been reported that the house surgeon has filed a written complaint at Burla police station. Meanwhile, no response has been received from the PG Students’ Union and the police.
