Balasore Police cracked the mystery surrounding the recovery of a man’s body stuffed inside a bag by arresting two persons, including the deceased’s wife. The accused have been identified as Sulochana and her brother-in-law.
As per reports, Sulochana killed her husband Ramesh, who allegedly used to beat her over petty issues. Fed up with repeated harassment and torture, Sulochana allegedly killed Ramesh with the help of a sharp weapon on May 10. After keeping his body at her residence, Sulochana took the help of her brother-in-law to dispose of the body.
Sources said on May 11, Sulochana and Ramesh had a dispute. That night, while Ramesh was sleeping, Sulochana in a fit of rage went and slit his throat. Later with help from brother in-law Jitesh. The duo reportedly went on a scooter and then disposed of the body in a sack in the canal near Balrampur. The next day, villagers saw the sack and got suspicious. They informed Simulia police after which the latter arrived. On opening the sack, they saw the body.
Getting information from locals, Simulia police started an investigation that led to the interrogation of the wife of the deceased. The woman confessed her crime during interrogation. Police arrested both Sulochana and Jitesh.
