SSUT Student Chinmayee Death: Viscera report came, will the mystery be revealed?

Burla: About two months after the death of Vssut student Chinmayi, her viscera report has been received by the police. Will this report unravel the mystery of the death? Now the discussion has started.

Chinmaye Priyadarshini Sahoo, a former student of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), had consumed alcohol before her death, informed Sambalpur SP B Gangadhar on Tuesday citing Viscera report.

“The test found presence of ethyl alcohol. The deceased had consumed alcohol before death. We have seized a CCTV footage of Chinmayee and another person having liquor at a hotel,” said Sambalpur SP Battula Gangadhar.

It remains to be seen whether the viscera report will reveal the mystery of Chinmayi’s death or the post-mortem report and diatom report will suggest that she died due to drowning.

It is worth noting that on February 28, Chinmayi came to attend Vssut’s convocation ceremony to receive her bachelor’s degree. That evening, she went to eat at a nearby pub with her male friends. At night, she told her mother that she had also taken a ticket to go to Bhubaneswar. But, what happened suddenly was that the family got the news of her death by the university authorities. Based on this, Chinmayi’s mother filed a written complaint in Burla police station that her daughter was killed and not suicide. On the other hand, Preetiman and Manas’ lie detection test was also conducted. But the police said that they did not give any wrong information.
