Bhubaneswar: A nine-year-old boy identified as Joseph Sahani succumbed to his injuries after falling into an open drain while flying kite in the Bidanasi area of Cuttack on Sunday afternoon.
Joseph, a Class III student of Modern Public School, was reportedly flying kite with his friends near his house on Sunday afternoon when the accident occurred.
His family members blamed the Cuttack Municipal Corporation for his death, stating that major drains have been left uncovered in various parts of the city, leading to potential accidents.
