Couple, Son Injured In Elephant Attack

Bhubaneswar: Three persons of a family including a man, his wife, and their minor son were critically injured after being attacked by an elephant near Namakani Juang Sahi under Telkoi forest range in Keonjhar district.

Reportedly, Satya Dehuri, his wife Rashmita, and son Dinabandhu of Rodong village under Kankadahad police limits in Dhenkanal district had visited the house of Kedar Mahant of Namkani. At around 8 pm, the three were going to watch a local fair called Bimla Makar Yatra when the incident occurred.

The family was rescued by forest officials and rushed to Telkoi Community Health Centre (CHC). From there they were shifted to the district headquarters hospital in Keonjhar and subsequently to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
