Balasore: In a deplorable incident, a man has allegedly hacked his wife to death and then killed himself in Balasore district of Odisha.
According to reports, the matter came to the fore after some locals spotted the bodies of the couple inside their house and immediately informed the police about the same.
The deceased have been identified as Bhaskar Samal and his wife Sasmita.
According to reports, Bhaskar had an argument with his wife over some family issues on Monday. The argument turned ugly when Bhaskar took out a knife and stabbed his wife in a fit of anger. His wife, Sasmit died on the spot. Soon after this, Bhaskar locked his room and hanged himself from a tree near the village.
It is suspected that the man allegedly repented after killing his wife and then killed himself due to guilt.
