Heat-wave conditions continue to prevail in Odisha for more 5 days
Bhubaneswar, May 18: It seems that Odisha is unlikely to get relief from scorching heat-wave conditions with the India Meteorological Department predicting no change in temperature and humidity for the next five days.
Due to the heat wave, the maximum day temperature might rise above 42 degrees in most parts of Western Odisha. Meanwhile, the temperature in coastal areas of the state will remain above 40 degrees.
Some places in the south and interior of Odisha are likely to receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. A yellow warning has been issued for 11 districts on Thursday for lightning and thunderstorms.
The IMD has predicted that the temperature will drop due to pre-monsoon in the coastal areas of Kerala and Karnataka this week. However, the temperature is unlikely to drop in Odisha before June 10
