Puri, July 21: Balighai range forest officials have rescued an injured deer lying on the Puri -Konark marine drive road.
According to locals they found the deer with bleeding injury on Thursday and informed the forest officials.
The Forest officials took the deer and treated the animal in the veterinary hospital.
Forest Ranger Benudhar Behera said the deer was a victim of a road accident.
He said probably a speeding vehicle dashed the animal. The four-year-old animal is diagnosed with a fractured leg and treatment is on.
