A junior engineer, working with the Works Department in Kashipur block of Odisha’s Rayagada district, arrested for marrying four women.
The accused was identified as Gopinath Kisan.
According to reports, Gopinath Kisan married not one or two but four women. It is worth mentioning that, his fourth wife Sunita Kisan brought this allegation against him.
In her complaint, Sunita, a resident of Chakradharnagar in Chhattisgarh, alleged that she tied the knot with Kisan in February 2022 at Jharsuguda after getting to know him through a matrimonial site. Five months into the wedding, he began physically and mentally torturing her for dowry, she said.
Later, Sunita approached the police station about the incident. Based on all the evidence, the police arrested Kisan and is questioning him further.
