Deadly Mishap In Talcher: Elderly Woman & Her 2 Grandchildren Crushed to Death by Speeding Car

Angul: In a deadly incident at Gobara village of Talcher, two children along with their grandmother died when a speeding car hit them on a village road at Gobara in the Talcher area of Angul district on Friday night.

The incident took place when the kids—Punam Pradhan and Gugu—were playing on the road, sources said.

Both succumbed to the fatal injuries at the DHH. The tragedy triggered tension in the area after locals caught hold of the car driver and thrashed him.

According to the villagers, the accident-causing driver was in an inebriated state during the incident. The villagers detained the driver and beat him up before handing him over to the police.
