Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: The vaccination drive under the National Covid19 vaccination programme will start in Odisha on January 19.
Health and Family Welfare department sources here said Covishield will be available from January 19 in identified District Headquarter hospitals, Sub Divisional Hospitals, CHC and PHC across the state for the second.
The vaccine will be available for those who have not received their second or precautionary dose.
Health expert Narayan Mishra said around 40 percent people are yet to take the precautionary dose and 10 percent have not received their second dose.
He said those who had received Covaxin can also take Covishield vaccines. It has no negative impact.
Mishra said the Covid situation is under control and appealed to the people not to be panicked.
