Jajpur, April 26: In a shocking incident, the body of a second-year nursing girl student of Xavier Nursing College in Jajpur district was found hanging in a hostel room on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Nibedita Sahoo, daughter of one Nanda Kishore Sahoo of Dhusuri area in Bhadrak district.
According to information, Nibedita was pursuing her nursing studies at a private nursing college in Jajpur. Today, some hostel students recovered the hanging body of Nibedita from her room. Soon, she was rushed to Jajpur Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
However, she was declared brought dead by the doctors at the hospital, sources informed.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased suspected foul play behind her death.
In the meantime, the police reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy.
Nibedita’s family registered a complaint against the nursing college in the police station and alleged that it is a case of murder. The police have initiated a probe into the matter as per the complaint.
