Prime Minister Narendra Modi Delivers Justice: Hands Over Rs 224 Crore Dues to Hukumchand Mill Workers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over a cheque of over Rs 224 crore in dues to the Hukumchand Mill workers during the ‘Mazdooron Ka Hit Mazdooron Ko Samarpit’ program in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday.

Addressing the nation virtually, Prime Minister Modi expressed the historical significance of the occasion, stating that the event is a culmination of years of dedication by labor brothers and sisters, reflecting their dreams and resolutions.

“I firmly believe that our labor families will shower their blessings upon the new team of the double-engine government,” Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the festive atmosphere that prevailed in Indore when the package for the workers of Hukumchand Mill was announced. He noted the festive joy among laborers and paid tribute to the late former Prime Minister and BJP veteran Bharat Ratna Atal Bihar Vajpayee, as the day coincided with his birth anniversary and Good Governance Day.

Referring to the symbolic handing over of the Rs 224 crore cheque, Modi emphasized its significance as a gesture that represents justice for the workers. He assured the laborers that the amount would reach them in the coming days, signaling a positive turn in their lives.

“The people of Indore will remember December 25 as the day the workers got justice. I bow before your patience and salute your hard work,” Modi affirmed.

The Prime Minister also highlighted his commitment to the welfare of the four primary castes in the country: the poor, youth, women, and farmers. He praised the Madhya Pradesh government for its significant steps in transforming the lives of the poor and reiterated the government’s dedication to empowering workers and the deprived.

Indore, known for its cleanliness and culinary delights, holds a special place in Modi’s discourse. He acknowledged the city’s historical significance and the pivotal role played by the textile industry in its development.

Emphasizing the state government’s rapid efforts to fulfill election promises and deliver government schemes to every beneficiary, Modi mentioned the ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra,’ a campaign ensuring the outreach of developmental initiatives to every corner of Madhya Pradesh.
