Bhubaneswar, Dec 27 : In a significant step towards quality manpower for smooth delivery of health services, the Odisha government on Wednesday restructured Odisha Ayurvedic medical service (OAMS) and Odisha homeopathic medical service (OHMS) cadre.
The OAMS and OHMS cadres were restructured with corresponding pay revision in the cadre to attract and retain quality Ayurvedic doctors in delivery of health services in the state.
As per the revised structure, the total cadre strength was enhanced to 728 in OAMS with 462 posts at the base level while the total cadre strength in OHMS cadre was enhanced to 630 with 399 posts at base level.
Secretary health and family welfare Shalini Pandit has issued a notification in this regard.
The officers in OHMS and OAMS cadre have welcomed this resolution, and thanked the State Government for the move.
