Bhubaneswar, Aug 29 : A team of senior officers of the Election Commission of India (ECI) will visit Odisha on September 13, state Chief Electoral Officer Nikunj Bihari Dhal said here on Tuesday.
Dhal said the team will interact with Collectors of all the 30 districts of the state regarding the preparedness of the upcoming general election during their visit.
The CEO said EVMs and VVPAT machines will be examined from the first week of October till November 15.
He, however, clarified that it is the general process and has nothing to do with the early election. The elections will be held as per the schedule decided by the Election Commission of India, Dhal said.
