Odisha: DGCA conducts trial run of Bhubaneswar- Utkela flight service

Bhubaneswar, Aug 29 : A trial run of the flight service between Bhubaneswar and Utkela in Kalahandi district was conducted on Tuesday.

DGCA conducted the trial run ahead of the regular service scheduled to commence from August 31.

The IndiaOne flight will leave Bijupatnaik International Airport (BPIA) at 8.22 AM and reach Utkela at 9.20 AM.

Sources said the regular flight service will start with a nine seater Aircraft between Bhubaneswar and Utkela and later it is likely to be extended to Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotirditya Scindia is scheduled to inaugurate flight through video conferencing.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be present at the BPIA while state Commerce and Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu and local MP Basant Panda will be at Utkela on August 31 during the launching of the flight service.
