BJP forms a four-member committee to visit violence-affected areas in Bengal

Kolkata, July 10 : West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar on Monday stated that Party National President J P Nadda has formed a four-member fact-finding committee to visit those trouble-torn areas in the state, where several people were killed in Panchayat election-related violence.

The committee will submit its report to the Party National President at the earliest.

Majumdar tweeted, “Thank BJP National President Shri @JPNadda ji to form a 4- member facts-finding committee to visit the violence affected areas of the West Bengal.”

The members of the committee are Ravishankar Prasad, MP, Dr Satyapal Singh, MP, Dr Rajdeep Roy, MP, and Rakha Verma, MP.

It may be mentioned that at least 38 people, including ruling Trinamool Congress, BJP, Congress and CPI(M) activists, were killed in Panchayat election-related violence since the announcement of poll date.
