Balasore, Sep 27 : Special Judge POCSO Ranjan Kumar Sutar on Wednesday convicted an accused in outraging the modesty of two minor girls and sentenced him 5 years rigorous imprisonment(RI) with a fine of Rs.2000
The judge further ordered that in default of the fine the convict would further undergo another one year jail term .
The convict identified as Miltan Jadav of village Badakia under Chandipur police had outraged the modesty of two girls, siblings after finding them alone.
The police arrested the accused after an FIR was lodged in this regard.
The court after examining 9 witnesses and 10 exhibits announced the verdict on Wednesday, said Special Public Prosecutor Pranab Panda.
