Bhubaneswar, Dec 21 : The sleuths of Odisha Vigilance department on Thursday unearthed huge amounts of disproportionate assets from the possession of Chief Civil Supplies Officer of Bhubaneswar Prashanta Kumar Gantayat.
Vigilance sources here said on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Gantayat, simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Vigilance led by 8 DSPs, 5 Inspectors, and other staff at his properties at eight places at Bhubaneswar and Ganjam.
During searches, the Vigilance have so far unearthed two multi storied buildings, two flats, five plots , deposits over Rs 1.37 crore, gold over 500 grams, Rs 1.21 lakh in cash, one four wheeler and other assets in the name of Gantayat and his family members.
