Odisha to launch awareness campaign on cyber crimes

Bhubaneswar, Sep 24 : Odisha Chief Secretary P K Jena on Sunday directed all district Collectors to chalk out a road map to make the awareness campaign scheduled to be launched from September 30 to October 15 a success.
Presiding over a high level meeting, the Chief Secretary said , the need to launch the campaign is required as cyber crime has emerged as major problem in the society.
Among others Additional Chief Secretary Home D K Singh, DGP S K Bansal, ADG Crime Arun Bothra , District Collectors and SPs of various districts attended the meeting.
The Chief Secretary stressed on sending messages on cyber crimes to people on mobiles during the campagn period.
As per the decision the awareness campaign will start from Bhubaneswar on September 30. On October 2, Sachetan Ratha will be rolled out in all district head quarters. As many as 34 Rathas will reach schools, colleges and Panchayats to sensitise people about cyber crime.
Various departments like IT and Electronics, Mission Shakti, Skill Development, Higher Education, School and Mass Education department , Panchayatiraj and Sanitation,Information and Public Relations, Skill Development and Technogy departments were asked to actively participate in the campaign.
Small dramas, quiz competitions, Padayatra, Marathon, cyclothon, wall painting will be organised among students for sensitngs people about cyber crimes.
Elected representatives at the block, district level, MLAs and various NGOs ASHA and Ananganwadi workers would be roped to make the campaign.a success.
