Nerve shattering: Boy detained for raping, impregnating minor sister

Satara, Sep 8 : A 17-year-old boy allegedly raped for months his 15-year-old sister, who became pregnant, in Maharshtra’s Satara district, police said on Friday.The accused teenager has been detained.
According to police, the sordid sage began one afternoon when the girl was alone in the house in Koregaon tehsil as his parents had gone out to work as labourers.
Her teenage brother, who was living in the house of a relative, came home, and taking advantage of there being no other person in the residence, allegedly threatened and beat up her sister before raping her.
He also warned her not to tell anyone about the incident.
As the girl kept quiet out of fear, the boy continued to rape her regularly, and the brutality continued for the last eight months
Meantime, on September 5, the affected girl’s mother took her to a goverment hospital after finding her hands and feet were swollen.
After a medical check-up, the doctor told the mother and the police that she was pregnant. The girl then disclosed to her mother that her brother had been raping her.
Immediately after the girl’s confession, the police detained her brother, who was produced before the Child Justice Committee.
