Hearing adjourned in sexual harrasment case against Former WFI chief

New Delhi, June, 22 : A Delhi Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing in the alleged sexual harassment case filed against BJP MP and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to June, 27.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Mahima Rai Singh after hearing the submission on behalf of Public Prosecutor, transferred the case to the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Harjeet Singh Jaspal for hearing on June, 27.

The Government Counsel submitted before the court that the ACMM Court was hearing a related plea filed on behalf of women wrestlers seeking a court monitored probe into their allegations.

Delhi Police after investigation had filed a charge sheet under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) defined under Indian Penal Code(IPC) against Singh on June, 15 and hearing on the chargesheet was fixed for June, 22
